If you received a promo code from Evernote for Starter or Advanced, you can redeem it directly on the checkout page.

Note: These promo codes are 6 characters long. Make sure not to confuse them with the old 20-character gift codes for the legacy Personal and Professional plans, which have been discontinued.

How to apply a code

  1. Go to your billing page in Evernote.
  2. Click Upgrade or Manage subscription.
  3. Choose the plan and billing period (monthly or annual) you want.
  4. Below the price breakdown, click Promo codeAdd.
  5. Enter your code and click Redeem.
  6. If the code is valid, the discount will appear in the price summary and you can complete your purchase.

Notes

  • Promo codes are case-sensitive — type them exactly as shown (all caps, no spaces).
  • Codes are only available for new purchases or resubscriptions (when your free trial has ended or your account has been deactivated).
  • If your subscription is managed through Apple or Google, promo codes cannot be applied.

FAQs

My promo code isn't working. What should I do?

  • Double-check the code — it's case-sensitive and should have no spaces.
  • Make sure the code is meant for the plan and billing period you selected. Use the "Switch to…" button offered at checkout.
  • Promo codes can only be used once. If you've already redeemed it, it's expired.

I already have a coupon on my account. Can I use a promo code too?

No. If an account-level discount is already applied to your Evernote account, the promo code field won't appear. You'll need to use one or the other.

What if my payment doesn't go through after applying the code?

If the promo code was valid at the time you entered it and the purchase fails for a different reason (e.g. the card is declined), the code is not consumed. You can try again with the same code and the discount will still apply.

How do I know if my code is for Starter or Advanced?

The checkout page will show you exactly which plan the code is for — either in the discount amount itself or through a "Switch to Starter/Advanced" button if the code doesn't match your current selection.
