Evernote no longer supports legacy clients (Version 6), and you may experience issues such as inability to log in, sync, or access your content. If you are using Evernote Version 6 (6.x), we strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version (Version 10).
How to Identify if You're Using a Legacy Client:
-
Check the version number:
- Legacy Client: If your version is 6.x (for example, "Evernote for Windows 6.11.2.7027"), you are using a legacy version.
- Current Version: If you're using Version 10 (or higher), you are using the supported version of Evernote.
-
Look for signs of outdated features:
- Legacy clients do not have the latest design, security features, or syncing capabilities of the current version.
- If you're encountering sync issues, missing notes, or any unusual behavior, it's possible you're still on a legacy version.
What You Need to Know:
-
Data Loss Warning: Any unsynced notes in legacy clients will be lost during the transition to Version 10. Before upgrading, make sure to manually copy and paste any unsynced notes to avoid losing them.
