When you delete a notebook, all of the notes in it are moved to the trash and the empty notebook is removed from your account. To delete a notebook, follow the steps for your operating system below.

Mac
- Right-click the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Select Delete notebook from the options list.

Windows
- Right-click the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Select Delete notebook from the options list.

iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
- Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete notebook.
Older version of Evernote for iOS
- Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Tap the options button (three dots), then select Notebook Settings > Delete Notebook.

Android
- Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete notebook.
Older version of Evernote for Android
- From the notebook list, press and hold the notebook you'd like to delete.
- Select Delete.

Web
- Open the notebook you would like to delete.
- Click More actions (three dots) in the notebook header at the top of the note list.
- Click Delete notebook.
Older version of Evernote Web
- Open the notebook you would like to delete.
- Click the Note Info icon ('i') in the notebook header at the top of the note list.
- Click Delete notebook.
