When you delete a notebook, all of the notes in it are moved to the trash and the empty notebook is removed from your account. To delete a notebook, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    1. Right-click the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Select Delete notebook from the options list.
  • Windows

    1. Right-click the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Select Delete notebook from the options list.
  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    The new Evernote for iOS

    1. Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete notebook.

    Older version of Evernote for iOS

    1. Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Tap the options button (three dots), then select Notebook Settings > Delete Notebook.
  • Android

    The new Evernote for Android

    1. Open the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete notebook.

    Older version of Evernote for Android

    1. From the notebook list, press and hold the notebook you'd like to delete.
    2. Select Delete.
  • Web

    The new Evernote Web

    1. Open the notebook you would like to delete.
    2. Click More actions (three dots) in the notebook header at the top of the note list.
    3. Click Delete notebook.

    Older version of Evernote Web

    1. Open the notebook you would like to delete.
    2. Click the Note Info icon ('i') in the notebook header at the top of the note list.
    3. Click Delete notebook.
