Overview
The note editor in Evernote is the area of the app where you add text, attachments, and other content to your note—in other words, the area where you create and edit a note.
Some notable features of our note editor include:
- Insert menu. Easily insert attachments, tables, code blocks, and more.
- Checklists. Recognize at a glance which to-do list items need your attention.
- Text styles. Custom semantic headers allow you to specify header size, and other common text styles.
- Text formatting. Choose from our font selector, font formatting, and multiple highlighter colors to call attention to various areas of text.
- Readability. You can adjust the note width to align with best practices for optimizing the reading experience.

From there, you will see the full list of insert options available.
Lists
Add numbered lists, bulleted lists, and checklists to your notes to keep track of important action items, start a grocery list, or even illustrate a step by step process. Select a list option in the formatting toolbar at the top of the note editor, found under More.
Links
Quickly insert clickable links to add context to your notes and provide easy access to helpful articles, files, and websites. Simply copy a URL, highlight some text, and select paste to create a new link in your notes. You can also insert links to other notes in your Evernote account.
