Credit card / PayPal
If you’ve subscribed to a plan directly through our website or PayPal and would like to update your billing frequency (whether switching from an annual plan to a monthly one or vice versa), you can do so by following the steps below:
- Log in to your Account Summary and click on Billing on the left menu.
- Next to Billing period, select Change.
- Choose the new billing frequency (monthly or annual) and select Confirm.
Please note: We are working on improving the Billing page and migrating all functionalities to the new interface. If you do not see the option to change your billing period in your account settings, you may be seeing a user interface that does not support changing the billing period. In this case, you can try accessing both the old user interface by visiting this link and the new user interface by visiting this link. Please try both, and you should be able to update your billing period.
Apple / Google Play
Please note that if you're subscribed via Apple or Google Play, you won’t be able to change your billing frequency directly within the Evernote app or on the Evernote Web. Instead, you'll need to manage your subscription through your respective app store settings.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
This change will take effect starting with your next renewal date, as it cannot be applied retroactively. For example, if you're on an annual subscription, the update will be reflected after your current term ends.
If the Change option isn't available, please cancel your subscription and resubscribe selecting your preferred billing frequency once the current subscription expires and your account is downgraded to Free. Rest assured that none of your content will be lost, and you will retain full ownership of it even if you cancel your subscription or your account is downgraded to Personal, Starter or Free.
If you’ve purchased a yearly subscription, we’re unable to switch your account from annual to monthly or issue a partial refund for the remaining time.
