Unable to create new notes as a Free user

Evernote Free users are limited to a maximum of fifty notes and one notebook per account.

Are you encountering difficulties in creating new notes despite having a Free subscription with fewer than fifty notes? Here's what you can do to troubleshoot this issue:

  1. Deleted notes in the trash also count towards the 50-note limit for Free accounts. To free up space, navigate to your Trash and permanently delete any unwanted notes. Once the trash is empty, try creating new notes again.
  2. Free accounts are limited to up to 50 notes and one notebook. Verify the number of notebooks in your account. If you have multiple notebooks with fewer than 50 notes spread across them, consider consolidating them into one notebook. Here's how you can do it:

    • Open each notebook and select all the notes.
    • Move them to a single notebook.
    • Once all notes are in one notebook, you should be able to create new notes within the allocated limit.
  3. It's important to note that even if all your notes are within one notebook, you can still face issues if you have other notebooks with no notes in them. Free users are limited to only one notebook, regardless of its content. Ensure that you have only one active notebook containing your notes.
