The first step to requesting a refund is making sure your case aligns with our Refund Policy terms. Please note refunds are not available for partially used subscriptions after the periods stated there.
To request a refund for your Evernote subscription, the process depends on how you originally purchased it:
1. Apple App Store
- Sign into your Apple account on Apple's support page
- Select the option I'd like to request a refund
- Provide a reason, select the purchased item, and submit your request.
Apple will respond within 48 hours. Note that refunds for Apple purchases are managed by Apple, not Evernote.
2. Google Play Store
- Visit the Google Play Store
- Select Request your Google Play refund
- Follow the steps provided there
3. Direct Purchase (Credit Card/PayPal)
We're gradually rolling out a self-serve refund option directly from your account. To check if it's available to you:
- Log into your Account Settings via Evernote Web.
- Select Billing from the left-hand menu.
- Click Need help? next to Billing history.
- Follow the steps in the modal to request your refund.
If you are on the Advanced plan and you haven't canceled your subscription auto-renewal yet, you may see two options:
- Full refund — your subscription will be canceled and your account downgraded to Free.
- Partial refund — you'll receive a partial refund and your plan will be downgraded to Starter.
If you don't see the Need help? option yet, you can still request a refund by logging into Evernote Web using the account for which you'd like to request the refund, then going to the Contact form and submitting a request to our support team. You will be asked to provide some verification details upon submitting your request.
Evernote Enterprise
Evernote Enterprise Customers are eligible for refunds under certain conditions. As with Individual Paid Service subscriptions, if we issue a refund or credit for an Evernote Enterprise subscription in one instance, we are under no obligation to issue the same refund or credit in the future.
Termination by Customer
We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion or as required by applicable law. No prorated refunds or credits will be offered for partially used subscriptions after the start of a new payment cycle.
