If you frequently use a specific search term or phrase, you can save it to Evernote. Saved searches are synced across all your devices, and you can access them by clicking or tapping the search bar. For quicker access, you can also save searches to your Shortcuts.

Save a search

  • Web and Desktop (Mac and Windows)
    Execute a search, then click Save search at the top of the search results.  Alternatively, save a search after applying filters to your notes list.
  • Mobile (iPhone, iPad and Android)
    Execute a search, tap the three dots menu > Save search.

Add and remove a saved search from Shortcuts

  • Web and Desktop (Mac and Windows)
    After clicking Save search, a pop-up will appear where you can name your saved search. Below the input field, you’ll find a checkbox. Select “Add this saved search to Shortcuts,” and your saved search will appear under the Shortcuts section in your sidebar.
  • Mobile (iPhone, iPad and Android)
    After tapping Save search, a pop-up will appear where you can name your saved search. Below the input field, you’ll find a toggle. Switch on Add this saved search to Shortcuts, and your saved search will appear in the Shortcuts section in your navbar. Alternatively, after executing a saved search, you can tap the three dots menu > Add saved search to shortcuts.

Edit a saved search

To edit a saved search, execute it, then click Edit saved search or tap the three dots menu > Edit saved search at the top of the search results. Here, you can edit the name of your saved search or add/remove it from the shortcuts.

Delete a saved search

To delete a saved search, execute it, then click or tap the three dots menu > Delete saved search at the top of the search results.
