If you've purchased an Evernote subscription and still see your account as Evernote Free, make sure that:
- You haven’t unintentionally upgraded a secondary Evernote account. Please make sure you log in to Evernote with every other possible email address you may have.
If you have an Apple device, It's possible that you might have created an account on Evernote by logging in with Apple and enabling the Hide My Email. You can find your email by tapping on Settings (from mobile) or System Preferences (from PC) > iCloud > Hide My Email and selecting Evernote. Copy that email address and try to use it as your Evernote login. The email should look like this: ---@privaterelay.appleid.com
If you're using a Gmail address for Evernote, note that Gmail doesn't differentiate between:- Emails with dots in their names and those without them. For example, emails directed to
ever.note@gmail.com
andevernote@gmail.com
would be sent to the same address. - Similarly, the email suffix (
@gmail.com
vs@googlemail.com
) is treated as the same, but our system treats them as separate accounts.

- You double-checked your subscription status by signing in to your account settings.
How to check if Apple has processed your subscription payment
To check if Apple has successfully processed your subscription:
- Sign out of Evernote on your device, restart it, then sign back into Evernote.
- Verify your account type: Log in to the Account Summary of your account settings and check your Account Type.
- Find your Apple receipt: When you purchase a subscription, Apple should email a receipt to your Apple ID email address. If you haven't received a receipt, contact Apple or make sure the purchase shows up in your Apple account purchase history.
How to check if Google Play has processed your subscription payment
To check if Google Play has successfully processed your subscription:
- Sign out of Evernote on your device, restart it, then sign back into Evernote.
- Verify your account type: Log in to the Account Summary of your account settings and check your Account Type.
- Find your Google Play receipt: When you purchase a subscription, Google should email a receipt to your Google Play Store email address. If you haven't received a receipt, contact Google or make sure the purchase shows up in your Google Play order history.
What if I still don't see my subscription reflected in Evernote?
If your account continues to show as Evernote Free and you were not able to identify a secondary account that might have been unintentionally upgraded, please follow the steps below depending on the payment method you used.

Please request a refund from Apple / Google Play directly following the instructions: How to request a refund since payments are managed by them. You're very welcome to resubscribe to your preferred plan directly via our website.

Web payment / Paypal / Pay by Link
If you paid via credit card through our website directly, Paypal or Pay by Link, please contact us making sure to include the following information:
- The receipt that details your Evernote subscription purchase. You should be able to find it in your email.

The payment method you used. Depending on your payment method, kindly share the following information.
- Credit Card: Last 4 digits, amount, payment date, and the full name on the card
- Paypal: Email address and name of your PayPal account, Transaction ID, Recurring payment ID or Invoice ID
- Google Play: Order ID (starting with GPA...) or your Google Play email address
- Apple: Order ID (starting with M...)

A list of any other email addresses that could be associated with this payment.
