Frequently asked questions

What are the types of content I can put into a table?

Aside from plain text, you can insert content into your table cells using the blue Insert button (plus sign). Tables support the following types of content:

  • Attachments
  • Audio recordings
  • Calendar events
  • Checkboxes
  • Code blocks
  • Dividers
  • Google Drive files
  • Photos
  • Plain text
  • Sketches
  • Tasks

The following types of content are not currently supported in tables:

  • Formulas and other spreadsheet functions
  • Other tables (nested tables)

Can I copy a table?

On iPhone, iPad, and Android you can copy a table from the table options menu. Tap the table, open the table menu, and choose Copy table to copy the whole table, or select the cells you want first and copy just that selection. You can then paste it into another note, or into a spreadsheet app such as Excel or Google Sheets.

Can I make my table columns the same width?

Yes. Open the table options menu and choose Distribute column width to give every column in the table an equal width. If you select specific columns or cells first, the option applies only to that selection, so you can even out part of a table and leave the rest as it is.
