Changes to Evernote automatic renewal payments in India

As of October 1, 2021, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) e-mandate directive took effect for recurring payments using India Bank cards.

Due to this directive, Evernote customers in India who are currently paying with a credit or debit card may encounter a failed auto-renewal payment, so we’ve adjusted our billing procedure for those affected to help complete a successful renewal payment.

To help keep your subscription active, you can now complete a credit card renewal payment using the Pay Now option located in your account settings. For each billing cycle, you will also receive an email notification with a link to your account settings page, where you can complete your renewal payment.

How to pay for an existing subscription

To complete your subscription renewal payment:

  1. Log in to your account settings in Evernote Web.
  2. Select Billing from the left navigation menu.
  3. Next to "Payment Method", select Pay Now. You will be prompted to agree to the subscription terms.
  4. Enter your updated credit card information, then click Pay.

What this means for new subscribers

As we work to be compliant with the recent mandate, customers wishing to upgrade from Evernote Free to a paid subscription plan, will need to upgrade through iTunes (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
