Evernote offers an MCP server that lets you connect your notes to the AI tools you already use, like Claude.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI tools connect directly to your data. Think of it as a universal bridge between your Evernote notes and AI agents. Instead of copying and pasting information back and forth, MCP allows AI tools to securely access your notes in real time—with your permission.
How does MCP work with Evernote?
Evernote's MCP server acts as a secure gateway between your Evernote account and external AI tools. When you connect an AI tool to Evernote via MCP, the tool can interact with your notes directly. The Evernote MCP server supports two core capabilities:
-
Read
AI tools can access and read your existing notes, allowing them to reference your personal knowledge base when answering questions or completing tasks. -
Create
AI tools can create new notes in your Evernote account, making it easy to save research, summaries, or generated content directly to your notebooks without leaving your AI workflow.
Current status
The Evernote MCP server is available to all paid Evernote users. Soon it will be available to users on the Enterprise plan as well. Connect your favorite AI tools to your Evernote account to read and create notes directly from your AI workflow.
