What is AI Assistant Memory?
AI Assistant Memory allows the Evernote AI Assistant to remember important details about you across conversations. Instead of starting fresh every time, the Assistant can recall your preferences, context, and instructions — making each interaction more personalized and relevant over time.
How AI Assistant Memory works
There are two ways memories are created:
- During a conversation — As you chat with the AI Assistant, it may save relevant details as memories. For example, if you tell the Assistant your preferred writing style or how you like your notes organized, it can remember that for future conversations.
- By asking the Assistant directly — You can ask the AI Assistant to remember something specific. For example, you might say "Remember that I prefer bullet-point summaries" or "Remember that my project deadlines are on Fridays."
Once a memory is saved, the AI Assistant will automatically use it to provide more tailored responses in future conversations.
How to manage your memories
You can view and manage your saved memories at any time:
- Go to Settings in Evernote.
- Navigate to AI Features.
- Find the AI Assistant Memory section.
- Here you can see all your saved memories and remove any you no longer need.
To create new memories, open the AI Assistant and tell it what you'd like it to remember.
