Troubleshooting steps for Paper when stuck on the loading screen

If you get stuck on the loading screen when opening Paper or trying to load your books, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  1. Check iPad/ iPhone OS version
    Ensure your iPad/ iPhone is running a compatible iOS version. You can check this via: Settings > General > About > Software Version
  2. Uninstall and then reinstall the Paper app
    Before uninstalling, please make sure you’ve enabled Paper Pro and synced all your books. Any books stored only on your local device will be permanently deleted when the app is removed and cannot be restored.
  3. Test your network
    Try switching between Wi-Fi and cellular data (if available), or connect to a different Wi-Fi network to rule out connectivity problems.
  4. Disable VPN/Proxy
    If you're using a VPN, proxy, or Ad blocker, try temporarily disabling it to see if that resolves the issue.
  5. Check device storage
    Low storage can impact app performance. Please ensure there's adequate free space on your device.
  6. Restarting your iPad or iPhone

  7. If you have access to another iOS device, please check if the issue occurs there too.
