In most cases, changes made to notes are saved automatically. However, there are some slight differences between our desktop apps and mobile apps. In addition, keep in mind that Evernote is only able to sync saved changes when you’re connected to the internet.

  • Mac

    Changes made to a note are periodically saved automatically. You will see "All changes saved" in the bottom right corner of Evernote once changes have been saved.

     

  • Windows

    Changes made to a note are periodically saved automatically. You will see "All changes saved" in the bottom right corner of Evernote once changes have been saved.

     

  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    The new Evernote for iOS

    After editing a note, tap the green checkmark in the upper left corner to save changes.

    Older version of Evernote for iOS

    Exit the note by tapping the back arrow to save changes.

    Note: If using Evernote on iPad with the note list and note body as a split screen, you can simply navigate to another note to save changes.

  • Android

    Exit the note by tapping the back arrow to save changes.

  • Web

    Changes made to a note are automatically saved.
