Locate app version

Sometimes it may be necessary to know the version number of the app you’re using. This can help you determine if you are using the newest version of Evernote, and often helps our Support team with troubleshooting. To locate the app version, follow the steps for your operating system below.

• Mac

  Click Evernote > About Evernote from the menu bar. The version is located in the first line of text.

• Windows

  Click Help > About... from the menu bar. The version is located in the first line of text.

• iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

  The new Evernote for iOS

  1. Tap the three lines in the bottom left corner to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner of the menu.
  3. The version is located at the bottom of the menu.

  Older version of Evernote for iOS

  1. Tap the ‘Account’ button on the tab bar.
  2. Scroll all the way down.
  3. The version is located at the bottom of the page.

• Android

  The new Evernote for Android

  1. Tap the three lines in the bottom left corner to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap the gear icon in the upper right corner of the menu.
  3. The version is located at the bottom of the menu.

  Older version of Evernote for Android

  1. Tap the three lines in the upper left corner to open the navigation menu.
  2. Tap Settings > Support.
  3. The version is located at the bottom of the menu under "Check for updates".
