Overview

We recognize that there may be some scenarios where it’s necessary or desirable to use an older version of Evernote. This version is only temporarily available while we work to bring a few of the legacy features to our new apps.

As such, the Evernote Legacy app, available for Mac and Windows, is downloadable for a limited time to support customers transitioning to the newest version of Evernote (Version 10.0 and above).

The Evernote Legacy app can be installed side-by-side with the new Evernote app, and is denoted by a gray Evernote icon.

Can I use this version of the app for regular, everyday use?

For the near future, you may continue to use this version of Evernote for regular, everyday use. However, we recommend that you update to and use the newest version of Evernote to get the latest features and ensure that you have the most recent bug fixes, security fixes, and performance improvements.

What can I do if I’m having trouble with this version of the app?

No. The new features are built on an all-new foundation that was created for the newest Evernote apps. To get the most out of Evernote, update to the newest version.

Can I use a legacy app on iOS or Android?

No. Evernote Legacy is only available for Mac and Windows.
