Move a note to a different notebook

To move a note to a different notebook, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    1. Right-click the note from the note list.
    2. Select Move... or Move Note to... and choose the notebook you'd like to move the note to.
  • Windows

    1. Right-click the note from the note list.
    2. Select Move... or Move Note and choose the notebook you'd like to move the note to.
  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    The new Evernote for iOS
    1. Tap the notebook name at the top of the note.
    2. Tap Move note.
    3. Select the notebook you'd like to move the note to.

    Older version of Evernote for iOS

    1. Tap the notebook name at the top of the note.
    2. Select the notebook you'd like to move the note to.
  • Android

    1. Tap the notebook name at the top of the note.
    2. Select the notebook you'd like to move the note to.
  • Web

    The new Evernote Web

    1. Open the note you'd like to move.
    2. Click the More actions (three dots) in the top right and select Move...
    3. Select the notebook you'd like to move the note to.

    Older version of Evernote Web

    1. Open the note you'd like to move.
    2. Click the notebook name at the top of the note.
    3. Select the notebook you'd like to move the note to.
