Accessing your notes when hitting the device limit for Free users

If you are on the Free plan and see a screen prompting you to upgrade your account to access your notes, it may be due to exceeding the device limit. Free plan users can only access Evernote on one device. If you attempt to log in from a second device or if you have multiple devices connected to your Evernote account, you'll encounter a prompt to either upgrade or manage your devices.

If you’re not interested in upgrading to a paid account, you can follow the instructions in-app to choose which devices to unsync. You should be able to see a green Unsync a device button in the middle of the pop-up that will allow you to proceed further.

You can also revoke devices by opening Settings and navigating to the Devices tab. Once you do so, you’ll automatically be logged out of your Evernote account on all except your chosen device.

Important: Free users will always be able to access their notes and files without a paid subscription. You just need to ensure you’re within the device limit.
