Preview of an Evernote note in iMessage

Sharing notes in iMessage is supported by the Evernote iMessage app and requires installation of the Evernote app on devices running iOS 10 or higher.

The Evernote iMessage app lets you search and select notes to share from within the Messages app. Important project notes or design ideas saved in Evernote can easily be shared without leaving the Messages app. Add comments to provide context or questions to solicit feedback.

You can share Evernote notes with anyone. Though notes shared using iMessage are best viewed on devices running iOS 10 or higher, people without an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch can still view notes you've shared with them.

Setup

To set up iMessage note sharing (first time only):

  1. Install Evernote (version 7.17 or higher) on your device.
  2. Open the Messages app.
  3. Tap the Applications icon.
  4. Tap ‘Store’ (+) to go to the iMessage App Store.
