Share & save an image or PDF
Share & Save options
Skitch makes it easy to share and save images and PDFs with other people and other apps.
Tap the Share (Send) icon at the top of the screen for various ways you can share and save your Skitch images and PDFs. Once you've shared a few images, Skitch saves your frequently selected sharing and saving options to a list you can access by tapping Frequent from the swipe menu at the bottom of the screen.
Share Skitch images and PDFs
Skitch offers a number of ways you can share images and PDFs, including:
- Sharing as an attachment or as an Evernote link with others via AirDrop, text message, or email
- Sharing as an Evernote link via Facebook or Twitter
- Sharing with all the guests invited to a scheduled meeting
- Sharing with another app on your device

You can share images in the following ways:
- Evernote Link: Saves a Skitch image or PDF to an Evernote note and copies the note link (URL) to your device Clipboard so you can paste it to other apps on your device.
- Email: Share Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), with others via email
- Message: Share Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), with others via text message
- Meeting: Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), via email to the attendees of a calendar event. You can specify the event and people that your image will be sent to.
- Evernote Link: Saves a Skitch image or PDF to an Evernote note and copies the note link (URL) to your device Clipboard so you can paste it to other apps on your device.
- Email: Share Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), with others via email
- Twitter or Facebook: Share Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), with others via social apps.
- Message: Share Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), with others via text message
- Meeting: Skitch images, or links to PDFs (saved to Evernote), via email to the attendees of a calendar event. You can specify the event and people that your image will be sent to.
Note: In order to share Skitch images or links to PDFs, you'll need to go to your device Settings and authorize Skitch with access to your Calendar, Evernote account, or any of the other apps and accounts you want to share with.
Save Skitch images and PDFs
You can save images to other apps or devices in the following ways:
- To Evernote: Save a Skitch image as an individual note in Evernote. If you haven't done so already, you'll need to link your Skitch app to your Evernote account by selecting Evernote from the Skitch Setting options. Here, you can also specify a default notebook to save your Skitch images and PDFs to.
- Photos: Save a Skitch image to the Camera Roll on your device
- Assign to Contacts: Save a Skitch image to your Contacts and assign it to one of the contacts listed on your device
- Clipboard: Saves a Skitch image to your device Clipboard so you can paste it to other apps on your device.
- AirDrop: Share a Skitch image or PDF with any other AirDrop-enabled device via the iOS AirDrop feature.
- Print: Save a Skitch image or PDF by printing it out as a hard copy on any connected printer
Why save Skitch images to Evernote?
Anything you've created or marked up in Skitch can be saved to an Evernote notebook. Saving a Skitch image into Evernote allows you to view, organize, edit, and share your Skitch images as notes from within your Evernote account. Once Skitch images are saved to Evernote, they can be viewed and edited from inside the Evernote app. Don't have an Evernote account? Create one now!
