If you have individual notes that you would like to combine into a single note, you can merge them using Evernote for Mac or Windows. Note merging is not available on Evernote for iOS, Evernote for Android, or Evernote Web.
Merge notes
Merging notes is very simple. In Evernote for Mac or Windows, you can select multiple notes to be combined into a single note. Before merging the notes, you will also have the option to keep a copy of the original notes on the new Evernote for Mac and Windows. On the older version of Evernote for Mac and Windows, the original notes are placed in the Trash, where the individual notes can be restored if you’d like to retain them as individual notes, or if you mistakenly merge notes.
To merge multiple notes into a single note, follow the steps for your operating system below.
The new Evernote for Mac and Evernote for Windows:
- Hold down Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac, and click on the notes you’d like to merge.
- Select the Merge button (combined arrows) in the blue box that appears at the bottom of Evernote.
- From the pop-up menu, click on the drag handle to the left of the note title and drag and drop the note in the order you’d like.

The older version of Evernote for Mac and Evernote for Windows:
