If you have individual notes that you would like to combine into a single note, you can merge them using Evernote for Mac, Evernote for Windows or Evernote Web. Note merging is not available on Evernote for iOS, Evernote for Android.
Merge notes
Merging notes is very simple. In Evernote for Mac, Windows or Evernote Web, you can select multiple notes to be combined into a single note. Before merging the notes, you will also have the option to keep a copy of the original notes on the new Evernote for Mac, Windows or Evernote Web.
To merge multiple notes into a single note, follow the steps for your operating system below.
- Hold down Ctrl on Windows or Cmd on Mac, and click on the notes you’d like to merge.
- Select the Merge button (combined arrows) in the blue box that appears at the bottom of Evernote.
- From the pop-up menu, click on the drag handle to the left of the note title and drag and drop the note in the order you’d like.
- Check the options you want to opt in under Advanced options, then select Merge notes.

Mac
- After you've selected multiple notes and clicked the merge button (combined arrows), a pop up menu will appear and allow you to sort the merged notes in a preferred order.
- You can choose the sort order by clicking on the drag handle to the left of the note title and dragging the note into the order you'd like the notes merged.
- The new note takes the title of the note that is listed at the top.
