How to merge multiple notes into a single note
If you have individual notes that you would like to combine into a single note, you can merge them using Evernote for Mac or Windows. Note merging is not available on Evernote for iOS, Evernote for Android, or Evernote Web.
Merging notes is very simple. In Evernote for Mac or Windows, select multiple notes by holding down Ctrl + click on Windows or Cmd + click on Mac, then select Merge Notes in the window that appears next to the notes list. This will combine the selected notes into a single note and place the original notes in the Trash. If you would also like to retain the original notes as individual notes, or if you mistakenly merge notes, you can restore the individual notes from your Trash.
Merged notes order
Mac and Windows each combine the selected notes in a different order.
Evernote for Mac
- Merged notes are sorted in the same order as they are listed, as specified by the Sort by: options (for example: Title, Date Created, Date Updated, etc.).
- The new note takes the title of the topmost note listed.
Evernote for Windows
- Merged notes are sorted in the order the notes are selected for the merge, with the contents of the first note displayed at the top and the contents of the last note selected displayed at the end of the note.
- The new note takes the title of the first note you selected for the merge.
