Scannable is currently available for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, and does not support Evernote Business accounts created on or after September 15, 2017.
Use Scannable to scan receipts, documents, photos, business cards, whiteboards, and any type of paper directly into your phone, no matter the shape or size. You can also scan documents from any ScanSnap Evernote Edition scanner connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Once you've captured an image, Scannable automatically crops and enhances the image by adjusting the brightness, contrast, and clarity. Images captured using Scannable can easily be saved directly to your device or to Evernote, shared via email or text message, exported, or opened using other apps on your device.
Point and scan
Place a document, receipt, or any other piece of paper on a contrasting background, then point your camera at the item to be scanned. Hold your device directly over the object, moving it closer or further away, until the blue, document-detection rectangle appears.
Once the countdown timer (animated circle) has finished, your scan is complete.
Review and approve
After scanning, the images are added to your scan tray. Swipe through (or tap on) the images in the scan tray to preview them. Tap on any image to get a closer look, or to access editing tools to delete, rotate, crop, or restore.
After reviewing a scan, tap the back arrow to return to your scan tray to continue scanning or delete everything in the tray and start over. Tap the checkmark to approve your scanned image(s).
Send and save
Once the images are approved, you can:
- Save directly to your device 'Camera Roll'
- Save directly to Evernote
- Send via email or text message
- Share with another compatible app
Note: You can choose whether to save scanned items as images or PDFs in the app settings. By default, single-page scans are saved as an image and multi-page scans are saved as a PDF.
