Evernote lets you capture everything that's important to you in your personal and professional life. Setting up a passcode to lock access to the Evernote app on your phone or tablet adds an additional layer of protection and privacy to your notes.

Note: Passcode lock is only available on Evernote for iOS and Android.

To set up a passcode, and enable a face or fingerprint unlock (if desired), follow the steps for your operating system below.

    2. Tap the menu button (three lines) to access the navigation menu.
    3. Tap the settings button (gear) to open the settings.
    4. Tap Passcode > Turn on passcode.

Note: To use Touch ID or Face ID, set up a passcode, then toggle the switch for "Unlock with Face ID" or "Unlock with Touch ID".
