Subscribe to or unsubscribe from reminders and email alerts

Visit your Reminder settings to manage reminder subscriptions and email alerts for joined and business notebooks.

Show or hide reminders for a joined or business notebook

To show or hide reminders for a joined or business notebook, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    The new Evernote for Mac

    1. Select All Notes from the navigation menu, then click Reminders at the top of the note list.
    2. Click the Reminder options button (gear icon) and select Reminder settings. This will automatically open a web page on Mac.
    3. Check 'Receive reminder emails' to turn on email alerts.
    4. Check 'Show notifications' under each joined or business notebook.
    5. Check 'Include in daily Email' to have a business notebook included in an email alert the morning of the day when notes are due.

    Older version of Evernote for Mac

    1. Go to Evernote > Preferences... > Reminders from the menu bar.
    2. Check 'Receive reminder emails' to turn on email alerts.
    3. Choose 'Subscribed' or 'Not Subscribed' under the Reminders heading for each joined or business notebook.
    4. Check the box under Email to have a business notebook included in an email alert the morning of the day when notes are due.
  • Windows

    The new Evernote for Windows

    1. Select All Notes from the navigation menu, then click Reminders at the top of the note list.
    2. Click the Reminder options button (gear icon) and select Reminder settings. This will automatically open a web page on Windows.
    3. Check 'Receive reminder emails' to turn on email alerts.
    4. Check 'Show notifications' under each joined or business notebook.

    Older version of Evernote for Windows

    1. Go to Tools > Options > Reminders from the menu bar.
    2. Check 'Receive reminder emails' to turn on email alerts.
    3. Choose 'Subscribed' or 'Not Subscribed' under Reminders for each joined or business notebook.
    4. Choose 'Yes' or 'No' under Email to have a business notebook included in an email alert the morning of the day when notes are due.

Email alerts

You can opt to receive email alerts for your personal notebooks or business notebooks on the day notes are due. Email alerts are not available for notebooks that have been shared with you. Email alerts for personal notebooks are sent to your personal email address and those for business notebooks are sent to your business email address (if you have one specified in your profile).
