How to manage your Evernote subscription

Switch between Basic, Plus, Premium, and Business

 

  • Plus to Premium

    When you upgrade from Plus to Premium, you will be charged the price for Premium immediately and will be refunded a prorated amount for any remaining months on your Plus subscription.

    To switch from Plus to Premium:

    1. Log in to your account settings in Evernote Web
    2. Select Manage Subscription on the ‘Account Summary’ page
    3. Select Evernote Premium
    4. Enter your credit card information and choose a billing frequency (monthly or annual)

    Note: If you subscribed to Plus through iTunes or Google Play, you must cancel your subscription through them, in addition to following the steps above.

  • Premium to Plus

    Your Plus subscription will begin once your Premium subscription expires.

    To switch from Premium to Plus:

    1. Log in to your account settings in Evernote Web
    2. Select Manage Subscription on the ‘Account Summary’ page
    3. Select Evernote Plus
    4. Enter your credit card information and choose a billing frequency (monthly or annual)

    Note: If you want to subscribe to Plus using PayPal, iTunes, or Google Play, you must wait until your Premium subscription expires before you can subscribe to Plus.

  • Plus or Premium to Business

    When you switch from Plus or Premium to Business, you will be charged the price for Business immediately and will be given a gift code for any remaining months on your Plus or Premium subscription. The code can be used at a later date or shared with another user.

    To switch from Plus/Premium to Business:

    1. Go to https://evernote.com/business/ on a computer web browser
    2. Click Get Business
    3. Fill out the information to create a new Business account or click Join existing account to join an existing Business account
    4. Choose a billing type and frequency, then enter your payment information

    Note: If you subscribed to Plus or Premium through iTunes or Google Play, you must cancel your subscription through them, in addition to following the steps above.

  • Business to Plus or Premium

    To downgrade from Evernote Business to Plus or Premium, you must first deactivate Evernote Business.

    Once your account is deactivated and reverts to Evernote Basic, you can subscribe to Evernote Plus or Premium.

    Note: If you had a Plus or Premium subscription prior to upgrading to Evernote Business, and have a gift code sent to you when you upgraded, you can redeem it here.

  • Plus, Premium, or Business to Basic

    To switch to Evernote Basic, simply cancel your subscription. If you have Evernote Business, deactivate your business.

 

Switch between monthly or yearly payments

 

  • Change payment frequency with your current plan

    1. Log in to your account settings in Evernote Web
    2. Select Manage Subscription on the ‘Account Summary’ page
    3. Select your current plan
    4. Enter your credit card information and choose a billing frequency (monthly or annual)
  • Change payment frequency with a different plan

    To change your payment frequency and move to a different plan, follow the steps as outlined in the 'Switch between Basic, Plus, Premium, and Business' section.

 

Update payment information

 

  • Update or add a credit card

    1. Go to your account settings in Evernote Web, then click Manage Subscription
    2. Select the same plan to which you are currently subscribed
    3. Enter your new credit card information
    4. Choose the same payment frequency (monthly or annual) to which you are currently subscribed

    Note: If you subscribed to Plus or Premium through iTunes or Google Play, you must cancel your subscription through them, in addition to following the steps above.

  • Switch to PayPal, iTunes, or Google Play

    You must wait until your current subscription expires before you can switch payment processors. Once your account has reverted to Evernote Basic, you can purchase a new subscription using your preferred payment processor.

 

Redeem Evernote points or promotions

You can earn Evernote points by redeeming Evernote gift subscriptions, Premium activation codes, and carrier promotions. You can also earn points by inviting friends to Evernote. Evernote Points can be used for monthly or annual subscriptions to Evernote Premium, even if you already subscribe to Evernote Plus or Premium. Learn more >>
