Evernote allows you to save pictures in your notes so you can easily access them from anywhere, across any device. You can even search for text within images. Add images to Evernote so you can:

  • Organize your renovation blueprints.
  • Collect and share photographs of a whiteboard after meetings.
  • Document a piano recital and store pictures of sheet music.

Add an image

To attach an image to a note, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    The new Evernote for Mac

    1. Open an existing note or create a new note.
    2. Drag the image from your computer into the note body or click on the blue plus sign icon in the note editor and select Image to manually attach an image.
  • Windows

    1. Open an existing note or create a new note.
    2. Drag the image from your computer into the note body or click on the blue plus sign icon in the note editor and select Image to manually attach an image.
  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    The new Evernote for iOS

    1. Open an existing note or create a new note.
    2. Tap the Edit button.
    3. Tap on the blue plus sign icon at the top left of the keyboard.
    4. Tap Camera to capture a new photo or tap Image to attach an existing image from your photo gallery.
  • Android

    The new Evernote for Android

    1. Open an existing note or create a new note.
    2. Tap the Edit button.
    3. Tap on the blue plus sign icon at the top left of the keyboard.
