What are the different sharing options in Skitch?
There are several ways to share Skitch images. Aside from social media sharing (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Flickr, etc), you can share via URL. This will copy a link to the image directly to your clipboard.
Skitch for Mac allows you to choose the type of URL that gets generated. Here are the options:
Creates a link that opens in a web browser. The image is shown in the web browser within the Skitch frame.
Direct Image URL
Creates a link that opens directly to the image file. For most web browsers, the image file will download automatically when the link is clicked.
Creates an HTML snippet of the full-size image without the Skitch frame. Uses 'img' tag.
Creates an HTML snippet of the thumbnail-size image. The image links to a separate web page that shows the full-size image within the Skitch frame. Uses 'a' and 'img' tags.
Creates a BBCode snippet of the thumbnail-size image. The image links to a separate web page that shows the full-size image within the Skitch frame. Uses 'url' and 'img' tags.
Note: We no longer offer bug fixes for vulnerabilities or any other updates, including security patches, for Skitch
