Evernote offers several options which you can sort your list of notes by. The sort order is an application-wide setting, so all notebooks, search results, and other note lists are all sorted the same way. You cannot set different sort orders for different groups of notes.

Mac
- Click Sort options icon (down arrow) at the top of the note list.
- Choose a sort setting under the 'Sort By' heading.
Older version of Evernote for Mac- Click the note view button (grid-like rectangle) near the top of the note list.
- Select 'Sort by: Date Updated' (it may show a different option), then choose a sort setting.

- Click Sort options icon (down arrow) at the top of the note list.
- Choose a sort setting under the 'Sort By' heading.
Older version of Evernote for Windows- Click the note view button (grid-like rectangle) near the top of the note list.
- Select 'Sort notes by', then choose a sort setting.

iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
- Tap the More actions button (three dots) at the top of the note list.
- Tap on Sort by and select the desired sort settings. By tapping on the green arrow pointing down, you can invert the sort order.

- Choose a sort setting under the 'Sort By' heading.
