Switch between multiple accounts in Evernote

If you have multiple Evernote accounts—such as more than one personal account, or a personal account and a business account—you can easily switch between them without having to sign out and sign back in each time.

When you switch from one account to another, the Evernote app screen reloads and displays the other account with all of its notes and notebooks.

Add and switch between accounts

To add and switch between accounts, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    1. Go to Evernote > Add Another Account... from the menu bar.
    2. Sign in to your second account.

Switch between multiple accounts by clicking your name with the dropdown arrow in the upper left corner of the app window.

Note: You can add one Basic account and up to four Premium or Business accounts for a maximum of five accounts.

  • Windows

    1. Go to File > Add Another User... from the menu bar.
    2. Sign in to your second account.

Switch between your accounts by going to File and selecting the desired  account.

Note: You can add one Basic account and up to four Premium or Business accounts for a maximum of five accounts. If you are part of an Evernote Business account that was created before September 15, 2017, you will see your personal and business notes in separate tabs within the same window. Therefore, you do not need to switch views to move between personal and business. To learn more, see: How to switch between personal and business notes
