The note editors in Evernote for Mac, Windows, and Android provide real-time word counts for each note.
Evernote for Mac
Select a note and click the menu button (three dots) at the top right of the note editor, then click Note Details.... The pane that appears will contain various pieces of information about the note, including word and character counts.
Note: This feature is not available in the new Evernote for Mac.
Evernote for Windows
There are a few different ways to find the word count in Evernote for Windows:
- Open a note, right-click in the note editor, and choose 'Word and Resource Counts' from the contextual menu.
- Select a note and go to Note > Word and Resource Counts from the menu.
- Select a note and enable the status bar by going to View > Show Status Bar from the menu. Word and character counts are visible in the status bar.
Note: This feature is not available in the new Evernote for Windows.
Evernote for iOS
The new Evernote for iOS: Select a note and tap the More actions button (three dots) at the top right of the note editor, then tap Note info to view the word and character counts.
Note: This feature is not available in the older version of Evernote for iOS.
Evernote for Android
The new Evernote for Android: Select a note and tap the More actions button (three dots) at the top right of the note editor, then tap Note info to view the word and character counts.
Older version of Evernote for Android: Select a note and tap the three dots icon at the top right of the note editor. On the pane that appears, select Statistics to view the word and character counts.
