When you delete a note, it’s moved to the Trash. The Trash is synced across your devices like all of your other synced content. To delete a note, follow the steps for your operating system below.

  • Mac

    1. Right-click the note you'd like to delete.
    2. Select Move to Trash from the options list.
  • Windows

    1. Right-click the note you'd like to delete.
    2. Select Move to Trash from the options list.
  • iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

    1. Open the note you'd like to delete.
    2. Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete note.
  • Android

    1. Open the note you'd like to delete.
    2. Tap the More actions button (three dots), then select Delete note.
  • Web

    1. Open the note you'd like to delete.
    2. Click the menu button (three dots) and select Move to Trash.

    Note:

    Evernote currently supports deleting notes up to 100, or an entire notebook at a time. When you delete a notebook, all the notes in the notebook can be deleted even if there are more than 100 notes.
