Frequently Asked Questions
Can I connect Apple Calendar?
Evernote currently supports Google and Outlook integrations. Apple Calendar integration isn't available for the time being, but you can follow this quick workaround to add your Apple Calendar via Google Calendar:
- Ensure your iCloud Calendar Sync is active. Head to iCloud Settings, select your name, and toggle on "Calendars."
- Make sure you have already linked your Google Calendar to Evernote.
- In your Apple Calendar, select the calendar you wish to share and click the share icon. Enable the 'Public Calendar' option and copy the provided URL.
- Head over to Google Calendar and find 'Other Calendars' in the sidebar. Click the '+' icon, choose 'From URL,' and paste the URL you copied from your Apple Calendar. Click 'Add Calendar' to complete the connection. You can rename it to match the one in your Apple Calendar.
- In Evernote, access the Calendar widget settings by clicking the three dots. Select 'Choose Calendars' and toggle on the Apple calendar. Now, your Apple Calendar events will appear within Evernote.
Can I expand the calendar widget vertically so I can see more events at once?
No. We currently only support horizontal expansion. In addition, you can only view one day at a time in the widget, regardless of how wide the widget is.
How can I search for or filter notes that have calendar events in them?
You can use the contains:calendarEvent search syntax or filter your notes list using the "Contains" filter.
If I cancel my Personal, Professional, or Teams subscription and one or more of my accounts are disconnected, what happens to the notes that are linked to calendar events from that account?
You will lose access to multiple calendar account connections, and only the account you connected first will remain connected. For any disconnected accounts, you will no longer be able to see events in the calendar widget. Any notes that were linked to calendar events from those accounts will still show the event details, but they will no longer update when changes are made in Google or Outlook Calendar.
Can I view my Evernote notes in Google or Outlook Calendar?
Linked notes aren't visible in Google or Outlook Calendar, but you can include a public link to the note in the calendar event description if you'd like other meeting attendees to have view access to the note. To give other meeting attendees access to the note in Evernote, share the note with them.
