Switch to the new Evernote Web (Version 10+)

Most customers who use Evernote Web are using the newest version (Version 10+). However, if you have more than 10,000 notes in your account or are an Evernote Business customer, you have not previously had access to it. You can now manually switch to the new Evernote Web (V10+) via your personal settings.

The new Evernote Web gives you to access the latest Evernote Web functionality, including brand-new features like Home.

Enable Evernote Web (Version 10+)

To enable the new Evernote Web, follow these steps in your web browser.

  1. Go to the Personal Settings page of your account settings.
  2. In the "Web Client" section, check the box next to Enable V10+ web clients....

Disable Evernote Web (Version 10+)

To disable the new Evernote Web, follow these steps in your web browser.

  1. Go to the Personal Settings page of your account settings.
  2. In the "Web Client" section, uncheck the box next to Enable V10+ web clients....

Note: If you have manually switched to an older version of Evernote Web, you must switch back to the new version before you can access the new Evernote Web. To do that, follow these steps before performing the steps above:

  1. Go to your account settings.
  2. In the Evernote Web section, click Go to new version beneath the text that says "Evernote Web is all new! Try it now."

If this section already says "You're using the New Evernote Web," you are already using the new version of Evernote Web and no further action is needed.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know if this applies to me?

This applies to all Evernote customers who have more than 10,000 notes in their account, and to all Evernote Business customers, regardless of how many notes they have in their account.

If you have less than 10,000 notes, and are not an Evernote Business customer, you already have access to the new Evernote Web by default and do not need to take any action, unless you have previously, manually switched back to an old version of Evernote Web (which is uncommon). If you are using an older version of Evernote Web, you must first switch to the newer version using the instructions above before enabling Evernote Web (V10+).

What do I do if I notice performance issues?

If you have more than 10,000 notes in your account, or have an Evernote Business account, you may see an extended initial load time when accessing Evernote Web (V10+) for the first time. If performance issues continue to occur, even after the first launch, you can disable the new Evernote Web and go back to the old Evernote Web using the instructions above.
