Task reminders allow you to set a specific date and time to receive a reminder notification. You can add up to five reminders to an individual task. When you add a reminder to a task, you'll receive an in-app notification at the date and time you specify (if you have notifications enabled).
Tasks with reminders have a small bell icon next to them.
Note: This feature is only available with a Personal, Professional, or Teams subscription.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I learn more about tasks?
To learn more, visit Tasks Overview.
What is the purpose of a due date versus a task reminder?
A due date is meant to be the date that a task should be completed. Depending on the task, it may be possible that the due date and task reminder are the same. Here are some examples of when you might use one, the other, or both:
- Your "Complete tax returns" task has a due date of April 15. You should set one or more task reminders in advance of this date to help you meet the upcoming due date.
- Your "Call Mom" task may not have a due date at all, but you can add a task reminder to notify you when to complete the task.
- Your "Finish writing chapter one" task has a due date of next week, but you don't need any notifications to remind you to write. (Or maybe you do!)
Can I add more than one reminder to a task?
Yes. Each task can have up to five reminders.
Can I add a recurring (repeating) reminder to a task?
No. However, by adding a reminder to a recurring task, you can receive a repeating reminder on each due date in the recurrence schedule.
Why am I not receiving notifications for my reminders?
You must enable notifications for Evernote to receive task reminder notifications. To learn how, visit Enable notifications for Evernote.
