View all tasks in one place

Tasks in Evernote live inside your notes, so you may end up with dozens of tasks across dozens of notes. We created the Tasks view, accessible from the navigation menu, so you can see all of the tasks in your account, regardless of which note they're in. Any change you make to a task, whether from within the note or within the Tasks view, will be updated everywhere.

Note: This feature is only available with a Personal, Professional, or Teams subscription.

Navigate the Tasks view

There are four tabs in the Tasks view that allow you to see your tasks organized and sorted in a variety of ways.

  • My tasks - In this tab, view all the tasks you've created for yourself and any tasks that are assigned to you by others. Tasks that you create and assign to others are not visible in this tab, and can be found in the Assigned tab. By default, tasks are listed in order of relevance. Tap or click the Sort by... button to sort tasks by task title, due date, date updated, or date created.
  • Assigned - In this tab, view all the tasks in your account organized by who they're assigned to: Assigned by me, Assigned to me, Assigned to others, and Unassigned.
  • Notes - In this tab, view all the tasks in your account based on what note they belong to. Tap or click the Sort notes by... button to sort notes by title, date updated, or date created. You can also choose whether to pin your default task note to the top of the list, regardless of your sort option.
  • Due dates - In this tab, view all the tasks in your account based on their due date. This tab includes tasks that you created and/or assigned to others, as well tasks that have been assigned to you.

You can also view completed tasks in the Tasks view. On desktop, click the More actions button (three dots) in the upper right corner, then select Show completed. On mobile, tap the More actions button (three dots) in the upper right corner, tap View options, then select Show completed tasks. Completed tasks are gray and have a strikethrough through the text.
