Create tasks in Evernote to keep track of your to-do list. Tasks are kept in context with your project ideas, meeting notes, and important documents; or, keep miscellaneous tasks in a default task note to be completed or sorted later.

Frequently Asked Questions
How can I learn more about tasks?
To learn more, visit Tasks Overview.
Can I create a task that isn’t associated with a note?
No. Tasks are not a standalone feature, and must be associated with a note. If you have miscellaneous or unsorted tasks that don’t belong in the context of any other notes in your account, we recommend using your default task note as a catch-all for them.
Can I add a tag to a task?
No. Adding a tag to a task is not currently supported.
Can I create a recurring (repeating) task?
Yes. To learn how, visit Schedule a recurring task.
Are keyboard shortcuts available for tasks?
Use Cmd + T (Mac) or Alt + T (Windows) to quickly insert a new task into a note. Keyboard shortcuts are only available in our desktop apps, not on Evernote Web or on mobile devices.
