Previous release notes for Evernote Web

This article contains a log of release notes for publicly-released versions of Evernote beginning with version 10.8. To view current version release notes, visit Evernote release notes.

  • September 9, 2021 - Version 10.21.5

    New

    • Big news: You can now add codeblocks and dividers to your tables!
    • We're making Home even more useful for you. Notes, tasks, tags, and notebooks widgets now have an icon at the top-right so you can create a new entry with one click, right from the widget.
    • Adding filters to your note list or search results is a great way to narrow down your view, and now you can save those filters as a saved search with one click.

    Fixed

    • Your calendar week might start on Sunday or Monday, depending on where you live. Now the app will detect your location and adjust accordingly.
    • Let's face it: note conflicts are frustrating. We found a way to make them happen less often when you're editing on a single device, but you may still see them from time to time. All we can say is we're working on it and we appreciate your patience.
  • August 25, 2021 - Version 10.20.4

    New

    • New widget alert! Make your Home dashboard even more useful by adding the new Filtered Notes widget. See the content you really need, such as all notes with a task, all notes with a specific tag, and much more. All in one place. (Available with Evernote Personal, Professional and Teams plans.)

    Fixed

    • We tweaked some things under the hood so new note windows will now open even faster. Because nothing should stand between you and a great idea.
    • If you saved a copy of a note to Evernote, it sometimes took a while for any tasks in that note to appear as well. But you should be off to the races now.
  • August 16, 2021 - Version 10.19.2

    New

    • You can now merge notes in Evernote Web!
    • After you duplicate a note, the app will now focus on the new note instead of the original.
    • Duplicate notes now have "copy" at the end of the title, so sorting or deleting them is a snap.
  • July 27, 2021 - Version 10.18.3

    New

    • Tasks you create using the global create button (the green circle with the +) will now be added to the note you currently have open instead of the default task note. All the better to help you stay on top of things.

    Fixed

    • Now you can see a count of how many tasks you've completed out of the total number of tasks in a note. Because we can all use a little encouragement.
    • If you hovered over an item in a scrollable menu, the list would suddenly (and annoyingly) jump back to the top. Now things will stay put.
    • Occasionally, a task would mysteriously disappear from inside a note. That didn't mean it was complete, though, which was a bit misleading. But you should see them all now.
  • July 22, 2021 - Version 10.17.8

In case you missed it, check out our newest subscription plans:

Evernote Personal—Keep home and family on track.

    • Sync your notes to unlimited devices and work offline.
    • See all your tasks in a summarized view and set due dates and reminders.
    • Connect calendars from your primary Google Calendar account.
    • Add the new Tasks widget to Home and personalize your layout.

    Evernote Professional—Boost workplace productivity.

    • Everything in Evernote Personal, plus:
    • Assign tasks to other people.
    • Connect calendars from multiple Google Calendar accounts.
    • Customize Home with multiple pinned notes and scratch pads.
    • Search using Boolean operators and geo location.

You can now Connect Evernote and Google Calendar to get more done—available with our Personal, Professional, and Teams plans:

    • Create notes for calendar events and access them quickly later—all from the calendar widget in Home.
    • Prep for meetings easily, ahead of time or on the spot. One click sets up a logically structured note for you, complete with event details—like date and attendees—which you can search for later.

Please note: Tasks is no longer in Early Access and is now officially released. This means that more advanced aspects of the feature are now limited to specific Evernote plans. For more plan details, visit evernote.com/compare-plans.

    Tasks in Evernote

Early access to Tasks has started rolling out and will be available to you over the coming weeks.

Tasks in Evernote help you stay on top of it all by making your notes more actionable and giving your to-dos the context you need.

Notes and tasks make each other more useful:

    • Add tasks directly to your notes to keep the things you need to do with the information you need to get them done.
    • Streamline your workflow—when notes and tasks live together, there’s no need to keep switching between your notes and a dedicated task manager.
    • Avoid information overload by capturing the details, actions, and decisions you need in one convenient place.

    Take control of your day:

    • See the right task, at the right time. Unlike standard checklists, you can set due dates and reminders on each of your tasks.
    • Get alerts for tasks even when you’re not in Evernote, so important action items never fall through the cracks.
    • Quickly focus on what matters most by flagging important tasks.

    Master your priorities:

    • Get a summarized view of everything you need to do, or immerse yourself in the context of what you need to do now.
    • Work your way—sort tasks by note, due date, or flagged status and use filters to focus on what you need in the moment.
    • Changes to your tasks update instantly across every view and on all your devices.

Get early access to Tasks and start each day confident that you have a clear path to tackling everything on your plate.
